About

A little about me

I've spent 15 years in software, starting in QA and support and working my way up through integration and core product engineering. Today I'm a Senior Software Engineer on Black Diamond at SS&C Advent, where I help lead a team of engineers and take new product ideas from research and sizing through design and delivery — making sure what we build is technically sound and worth the investment.

I care about software that's still easy to change years later. That means test-driven development, small focused units of code, and principles like SOLID and inversion of control. It also means investing in people: thoughtful code reviews, mentoring, and sharing what I've learned with engineers across the organization.

Outside my day job, I build on Bitcoin Cash. I founded FoldingCash, which rewards people for donating computing power to Folding@home medical research, and more recently Fun(d)Tokens, a non-custodial index fund protocol now in beta.

Away from the keyboard, I'm usually around motorcycles. Florida's year-round riding weather means I'm either turning wrenches in the garage or at the track chasing lower lap times. I also enjoy staying active and playing video games.
